The Epic journet of little mac to get the world champion belt in boxing with the aid of Doc Louis his personal trainer (Who loves chocolate by the way)

Ah yes, the original Punch Out game you might remember from the NES era with the really annoying opponents trying to floor you in just one hit while you have to perform a 100 to knock them down, but in the wii... it's all the same but in much more funnier way, they have mixed players from the original Nintendo version from also the Super Nintendo version as well.

Yes everything is brilliant in the game, Glass Joe's insecure French Language and his inability of keeping himself up for 30 seconds, Von Kaisers "Zee Uppercut" and his Drill German language, King Hippos huge belly and triumphant weakness of a stomach, Bear Huggers Canadian accent, now with 20% more hugs, and Great Tigers very wonderful jewel of pain, and his savage ability of being everywhere at once... yes every character is here, even the Cheatful irish bastard Aran Ryan and his heads and elbows, and Super Machoman is really stereotypical as ever, and who is the final opponent? Beat them all up and you'll see who it is, and can you find the secret character as well?

Go in practices against the current character you're facing in the career mode, beat them up again in Exchibition mode, and go on in a 1v1 against a friend and unlock the giga mac abilities to defeat your foes with no mercy, have faith and you'll be the champion over and over again, just don't loose your belt, and don't loose Doc's chocolate!

Guide of your opponents!
Minor Circuit
Glass Joe from France/Paris
A very fragile boxer who can nearly be knocked down in a single hit, he is the worst one of the bunch, and his single win is actually against your next opponent if you managed to defeat Glass Joe!

Von Kaiser from Germany/Berlin
A boxer-teacher in the german military academy, he was a superstar boxer in his younger day, but he lost his confidence when he lost against Glass Joe, and have now almost grown a fear for any opponent!

Disco Kid from New York/Brooklyn
A very flamboyant disco-manic fool who takes boxing likes it's a simple child's game and leaving himself open too many times, punch him down from all of his taunts and show him that Disco is truly dead.

King Hippo from Hippo Islands (Title Bout)
He's huge, he's heavy, and his stomach is his weakness, but in order to do so, you have to avoid his clumsy punches and find a way to leave him open for some salvated fury punches.

Major Circuit
Piston Honda from Japan/Tokyo (I refuse to call him Hondo)
A japanese and seasoned boxer who will be your first serious boxer and he's equipped with a special attack as well, block his Hondo rush and... who the hell bows during a Boxing match anyway?

Bear Hugger from Canada
Don't let his size fool you, eventhough he's drinking maple syrup, you won't do much damage on his stomach so why not aim for his head, and keep your guard up for those "Bear hugs" he delivers.

Great Tiger from India/Mumbay (Formerly Bombay)
A Magician who have trained boxing in a different way, keep your eyes on his jewel on his headgear and knock him down when the moment is right, keep your eyes out for his Magic Rush attack...

Don Flamenco from Spain/Madrid (Title Bout)
A charming and very patient boxer who have won many fights on decision, your footwork will come in handy here, blow off his taunts and counter his attacks and he should be easy as any other opponent...

World Circuit
Aran Ryan from Ireland/Dublin
This rascal have cheated himself to the world circuit with many filthy tricks, dodge his attacks and hit him hard back, and show him that clean fighting is the only way to win in boxing!

Soda Popinski from Russia/Moscow (Difficulty starts to kick in here)
Rehabed after his debut as Vodka Drunkenski, he's now back with the name of Soda Popinski, and he means business, avoid his uppercuts and keep yourself away from his Raging Uppercut combo!

Bald Bull from Turkey/Istanbul
The boxer who stole Doc Loui's world champion belt back in the days, he have now a score to settle with Doc's underlings, Bull's belly is a very soft spot and do you really dare to counter his Bull Charge attack?

Super Machoman from USA/California (Release the Bogus)
The heavily narcisstic and hyper-ego Super Machoman have entered the stage, he was the former world champion until he lost to the current one, strike macho-man with no mercy and avoid his spinning clotheline attack...

Mr.Sandman from USA/Philadelphia (Title Bout) (Congratulations if you beat this guy)
It have finaly come up to this, the epic clash against the very famous and the final opponent of the game, Mr.Sandman, will mac be able to defeat him, or will Mr.Sandman but Macs career to bed?

Title Defence mode
All characters have undergone some serious training, faster, nimbler, stronger, better, you name it, they will be harder, thougher and really annoying, so be prepared for the worst in the end, even Glass Joe have some few new tricks to sleeve you down!

Mac's Last Stand
Same as Title Defence, except you can't quit or restart a match if it fails, plus every opponent is random, so you better hope it's some of the easier one, as you'll get as surprise if you beat 10 of your opponents, btw 3 losses and the Career mode is no more for you to do! :l

Unknown hidden fighter
Play the game long enough and you'll see who this is... ;)

Doc Louis Punch Out!
Was unleashed in the summer 2009 for people to download it, where you can face Doc himself while in training in three phases, Warm-Up, Training and Sparring (I think) and every harder step you take, Doc will be much harder every time, his fight consists basicly of almost any ability of all the characters in the original Punch Out, this game was released perhaps for the sole purpose of promotion, and it seems pretty fun and very nice, though you only have to floor Doc once, and he acts like the referee as well when you're down for the count.

If you missed the opportunity of getting this game last summer, you can try again this summer i believe was a new opportunity of getting it, but i don't know how...

I recommend this game, you can play with the Wiimote only (Classic way), Nunchuck (Wii Way) or even with the balance board as well :D

It's up to you how you defend your title ;)

Thank you, i just updated with all the characters, as they're already spoiled on Youtube as well

The best thing would be to buy it, and just take notice that every characters attack is depending on when you hit them, where you hit them and on who you hit them

Meaning every match you have against a certain opponent can be different every time ;)

Single player only, two players on the same wii

This game would LAG way worse than Brawl due to it's massive graphic intensity...

Brawl has Body Limbs basicly the only movable objects there

Here we have Basicly nearly each frame attached with movable subject

Meaning every frame is like 12.000 Movements at the same time

While Brawl only have 4.000 per frame...

If you're only interested in games with graphic, then you should be very disappointed in the future...

wii is more for gameplay than graphics, while xbox has some great games, but most focus on stunning graphics and not much else... which is enough for some people :/

You haven't even tried the game, i thought it was useless too before i tried it, but when i bought it, it kept me going for hours, and hours and even more hours

Brawl might be fun in the long run, and it can beat Punch Out Wii with lengthes

But this game requires TONS and TONS of much much more reflexes than you'd ever think
Not even a First Person Shooter is this fast...

You can probably complete the Contender mode easily, but beating it on Title Defence, is like completing Golden Eye 64 unarmed xD

It's more graphical intensive, as there are more objects moving at the same time, there by decreasing the number of polygons going at the same time

Each character in brawl have like 15 - 25 moving polygons

In Punch Out, that many polygons basicly equals one single arm

As the polygon numbers decreases the ability of using many graphical detials, going frame by frame in Punch Out, and you'll see how darn many body parts you have to move at the same time to actually make the character function perfectly without moving out of sync...

Now using one single hook on the opponent will have 400 - 500 polygons move at the same time, wich equal ALMOST a characters entire moveset all together in Brawl, there are a lot of things in various games you can't see, plus if you show up very close to each character in brawl, you can find some out of sync material, wich can't be seen through the angle the game was designed too show, in punch out, it has to be extra specific, meaning that it has to be flawless, wich means the strength of the graphic was reduced to just simple cartoon 3D animated stuff...

Re: Punch Out Wii Review! (Updated)

but you're forgetting that punchout uses cel shading, as well as the animations being limited to pretty much one route, where as in brawl there is more to the textures plus they are less limited to a location, an explosion can be going off on one side of the screen while some fireworks in the other. added to it the fact that brawl has lighting effects maping the direction of light

most of this argument is pointless anyway because i remembered that you were talking about online, the reason brawl lags like it does online is because of the networking type. for brawl information is sent for every input to the host, the host then waits for information from all the other people connected then it sends the information back to the other players, obviously if there's a delay on the sending of information between one person it's felt by everyone which leads to brawls stop start lag.

compare this to mario karts type of networking which keeps running and information on where people are is sent to the host which is sent to everyone else, which leads to the lag when somebody is jumping around the track.

the best demonstration of this is halo 3, you get the networking type used by mkw i multiplayer and the networking type from brawl in their campaign which is evident. it has nothing to do with graphics it's all about networking

Can't notice but that you're still going by graphic...

Fine for you then!

But note that you can't find another game where people speaks up to 5 - 8 different languages! ;)

Really...? :warN:

Maybe you're right about the graphic, the lipsync for each of the character are very precise
The audience in the back, are moving in a random pattern depending whether you hit or miss your opponent, or if you're floored Etc...

Brawl is deeper due to the game being programmed by nearly more than a 200 and 300 persons, while Punch Out is done by nearly half if not less number of persons...

Plus, the music record is variously done by many celebreties from many countries, plus this game was just to revive an old classic as well
